It has been 45 years since actress Jane Fonda last tread the Boards on Broadway in the play Strange Interlude. Back then the award winning actress was only 25, but now in her seventies, Fonda is set to embark on a new play, 33 variations, where she will be acting in eight shows a week.
The play seems apt for Fonda as it explores the creativity of artists late in life. Most 71 year olds would be expected to be enjoying their retirement relaxing but Fonda does not seem set to retire any time soon and still has a very busy career.
The official opening for the play will be on 9th March after a month of previews.
