Comedian Russell Peters sells out O2 Arena

24 02 2009

Never heard of Russell Peters? Neither had I until recently. The comedian is the son of Indian Immigrants and was born and raised in Canada. He uses his upbringing as inspiration for his act basing it on ethnic stereotypes, and uses funny accents throughout his performance.

Peters’ tour has taken him all over the world, including sell out shows at Madisson square Gardens, India and China. We are sure to hear a lot more of Peters in the future.

The sell out show at the O2 arena has had very little press coverage which says a lot for Peters and his comedic genius. Much of Peter’s success has been due to the internet which has given him a loyal fan base across the world.
