Last month I asked the question, “will Enron repeat its West End success on Broadway?”. We now have the answer to this question, which is a categorical no! The show, which had its last performance on Sunday lasted for only 15 performances. It was hoped that the show would be as successful at the Broadhurst Theatre on Broadway as it had been in the UK, but sadly it was not to be. The American critics obviously didn’t share the same views as those in the UK, which has ultimately resulted in the folding of the show on Broadway and a loss of £2.6m.
