Julie Andrews Live on Stage

25 05 2010

Julie Andrews has long been a national treasure, but after the operation on her throat a few years ago it seemed that we would never see her singing again. Fans will now be pleased that Julie Andrews has not only returned to the UK, but is performing at the O2 Arena in a concert which sees her reminiscing about her career as well as performing new material.

The concert is named The Gift of Music, and it sees her mainly talking rather than singing. Her throat was damaged during her operation which leaves her unable to reach the high notes, but she still manages to sing some numbers which only require her to use the lower tones of her still beautiful voice.

The show seems to have it all and will not disappoint fans, who have waited a long time to see their idol singing again.
