Kevin Kennedy takes lead role in We Will Rock You

Kevin Kennedy, the actor who is best known for playing Curly Watts in Coronation Street is to take over the lead in the West End production of We Will Rock You, the musical based on the music of Queen.

He has previously played roles in Chicago and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Kennedy will perform the part of Pop.

Kennedy has previously played the role of Pop in the tour of We Will Rock You and will take his experience into the West End production.

The world premiere of We Will Rock You took place in 2002 at the Dominion Theatre. Its current run is scheduled to take it through until April 2011.
