Legally Blonde and Les Mis triumph at Whatsonstage Awards 2011

The Whatsonstage Awards 2011, held in the Prince of Wales theatre in London’s West End was dominated by two musicals - Legally Blonde and the Les Miserables 25th anniversary concert.
Legally Blonde scooped four awards, including:

• Best Actress in a Musical (Sheridan Smith)
• Best Supporting Actress in a Musical (Jill Halfpenny)
• Best New Musical
• Best Choreography

The Les Miserables 25th anniversary concert also won a number of awards, including Theatre Event of the Year, Best Musical Revival and Best Ensemble Performance.

Other winners on the night included Love Never Dies (Best Actress: Zoe Wanamaker, Best Actor: David Suchet), All My Sons and Wicked.
