Omid Djalili to play Fagin

12 02 2009

Oliver has already opened in the West End to sell out audiences, but all too soon Rowan Atkinson will be finishing his show-topping performance as Fagin. The man set to take his place is comedian Omid Djalili, best known for his stand up routines and also for his roles in hit films such as The Mummy and Gladiator.

Atkinson will be a hard act to follow but Djalili has certainly proved himself capable of playing the villain in his many film roles.

Djalili will be performing on stage from 20th July alongside Jodie Prenger who will be continuing in her role as Nancy until Mid December.
