As we find ourselves deeper and deeper into this recession many of us are making cut backs. Among the first to go is usually the money we would spend on entertainment. I don’t think that this has to be case; instead we just need to be more savvy about where we go and what we do. Do we really need the best seats in the theatre or will the regular seats suffice? Do we have to go at peak time or can we make it to a show during the week?
The West End must be doing something right because theatre goers are definitely not being put off by the credit crisis. One of the reasons for this may be due to the high profile some shows have received through TV competitions, but I like to think it’s because the shows available in the West End are getting better and better and can offer something to everyone.
One way of getting to see your favourite show on a budget is to search around for the best theatre ticket prices. You can often find promotional coupons available for many shows, as well as discount offers on dinner and show deals. So next time there is a show you want to see, don’t put it off, search around, and you may just be surprised.
