If you have bought your theatre tickets in advance but then find yourself unable to make the performance, there is now a new service available online which may come in very useful. The new website enables you to resell your tickets, even allowing you to make a profit. Some performances however such as those ran by the National Theatre are subject to a cap of 25% above the face value of the ticket.
Those who run the website have stated that there are controls in place which will stop ticket touts from abusing the service, but it is unclear how this will be policed.
Surely this can only be a good for theatres as it may encourage those people who are ill from dragging themselves to performances where they are coughing and sneezing all the way through.
