Russell Brand embarks on his comeback tour in the same week that Jonathan Ross returns to our TV screens. So does Brand make mention to the Sachsgate scandal in his performance?…. of course he does; The Times even go as far to say “it has given him his act”. Brand walks onto the stage with video clips from the scandal playing in the background and during his act blames both the British public the media for the uproar.

While the Sachsgate material is said to be the most entertaining of the show, the rest of the content in Brands 90 minute act includes his comments about George Bush at the MTV Movie Awards last year, where he received a cold response from the audience when describing Bush as “that retarded cowboy fella”

It seems that wherever Brand goes, controversy follows. Time will tell if this stage show will signal a significant comeback for the comedian.
