West End World Premier of Moonshadow

19 04 2009

Yusuf Islam, also famously known as Cat Stevens is the next in a long line of artists who is now staging an interpretation of his own work in the West End. The musical titled Moonshadow was originally set to premier in Northampton, but the producers had to go straight for the London opening due to lack of available space.
The Musical features many of Yusuf’s hits from both the 60’s and 70’s, including “Father and Son”, “Peace Train” and the title song, “Moonshadow”. The Musical plot follows a young boy “Stormy” in his search to find himself. The plot comes full circle when the boy finds his way home again. The Musical was showcased at the Whatsonstage.com awards back in February and will be starting its run on the West End this autumn.
